- When you feel like eating and you're trying to fast, work on your physical appearance. I like to put on self tanner lotion
because the bronze color makes you look skinnier and it just looks nice. You can also give yourself a manicure, pedicure,
facial, take a warm bath (soothes the cramps) or dye your hair. Anything to make you prettier.
- Instead of eating, exercise. I was hungry today so I went for a mile and a half walk. It burns calories but also,
after you are done you won't want to ruin all your hard work!
- Stock your house with foods that are safe. This is easier if you live alone or with someone who doesn't question your
eating habits. Instead of having ice cream and candy in your house, have rice cakes and sugar free jello.
- I like working on this site whenever I feel like eating. I think that knowing that other people out there are paying
attention to my progress is a good motivator. Try making your own pro-ana site, or joining a pro-ana forum.
- When you leave the house to go to school or work, don't bring loose change. This will eliminate those urges to grab
something at the vending machine.
- Every calorie counts! Park in the last available space at the store or at school so you have to walk farther. If you
ride the bus, get off one or two stops before your usual stop. Buy a pair of lightweight weights (like 3 lbs) and lift them
during commercials or while waiting for an IM.
- Get a hobby. I like gardening. I plant fruits and vegetables so I have safe food at my fingertips. It's also a decent
workout and gives me fresh air.
- Work out in front of a mirror sometimes. I don't need to explain it; just do it. You'll realize why after you do!
- Buy an outfit in your target size and look at it every day, every hour if you can. Try putting it on whenever you want
to eat. If you can fit into it, you can eat. If not...
- Put a skinny girl as your desktop wallpaper. I have the absolutely gorgeous Nicole Richie on mine. Whenever I get
on the computer, even if it's just to play a game, I am reminded of what I'm not...but also of what I could be.
